Course content

A2 ; FM3 – Film research and creative projects (50%)
        FM4 – Varieties of film experience – issues and debates (50%)

Entry requirements

Grade C in English Language

Assessment

FM3 – One small scale research project and one creative project.

FM4 – 2 ¾ hours written paper – 3 essays on a world cinema topic, a

            spectatorship topic and a critical study of a single film.

Future opportunities

Film studies students go on to media and film courses but also, frequently, take film as one of a portfolio of A levels to gain access to courses at top universities in English, History, Politics, Theology, to name just a few.

This summer (2012) saw the following results:

A2    A* - 33.3%; A - 33.3%; B – 16.7%; C – 16.7%

        A* - C – 100%
