Professional Cookery Level 2 Diploma at North Lindsey College

Course description

The programme is designed for those students who have gained a level 1 and want to develop their skills further, or may already be working within the hospitality and catering industry. The programme is designed to further progress cooking skills for chefs who are wishing to advance their career.

Course content

Topics of study include:
Investigating the Catering and Hospitality industry
Food Safety
Catering operations
Costs and menu planning
Applying workplace skills
A range of food preparation methods
A range of cooking methods

Entry requirements

4 GCSE's Grade D or above, including Maths and English or Level 1 Hospitality and Catering/similar qualification.

Assessment

On-line multiple choice, practical food preparation and cooking, written assessments and a portfolio of evidence.

Future opportunities

A level 3 programme or Apprenticeship
