Preparation For Work at Cottenham Village College & Sixth Form

Course description

L1/L2 Preparation for Work.

This course is a one year, "Traineeship" style programme, centered around a tailored work experience placement. This is for students working at Level 1 or Level 2 who wish to enter the world of work but for whom an Apprenticeship is not yet appropriate.

Students will need to have spent at least a year with us already so that we can personalise their placement. Students will combine significant practical workplace experience with in-school reflection of what they have learnt. They will examine a range of  work related topics and will build their own personal portfolio. Maths, English and ICT (dependent on students' prior attainment) will be delivered with this course.
