Course description

If you like playing music or singing, listening and analysing music and composing music, then this is the course for you. Music is used in many professions and is a very useful life skill to have.

Students will study a wide range of musical styles and learn how to analyse and interpret music in detail. They will also develop their composition and performance skills, helping them to become well rounded musicians.

Studying Music is useful when applying for university, whether you are aiming for a degree in Music or another subject:

  • Entry requirements

    A Grade B in GCSE Music or Merit at BTEC Music/Performing Arts. 5 A* - C GCSE grades.
