IT Systems Support and Networking BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 at Wilberforce College
This Extended Diploma is a technical course designed to prepare you for exploring a specialist career in IT Support and Networking.
You will discover how Systems are supported, trouble shot, repaired, installed and upgraded through studying a wide range of topics that will teach you about Computer Systems, Computer Architecture, Computer Communication Technologies and Networking.
You will also have the opportunity to experience supporting users and take a detailed look at systems and network security.
This is a course where you will be taught through a mixture of formal lessons, practical workshops, team projects and discussions. Your teachers will encourage your enthusiasm of systems support. Following this course you could progress onto university to study a degree in Computer Systems or Networking or consider a career in the IT support professions.

4 A* - C grades at GCSE or equivalent in 3 or more subjects including a minimum of grade D in GCSE English Language and grade C in GCSE Mathematics.
Some continual assessment, some assessed with coursework and some with exams (you must pass every unit to pass the course). The units are graded pass, merit or distinction with an overall accumulated grade awarded after 18 units have been completed.
