Preparing for Work in the Landbased Industry: Entry Level 3 City & Guild Diploma at NESCOT
This course contains a wide range of vocational subjects
Students will learn about working with plants and animals. They will gain hands-on experience working on Nescot’s farm, where they will feed and handle small animals.
During the year students will undertake various grounds work and horticulture projects. They will also build their knowledge of handling and caring for horticulture tools.
- Identifying health needs of a small animal
- Recognising parts of a plant
- Growing plants from seeds
- Grooming and handling small animals
The interview process includes an initial diagnostic assessment as well as an opportunity to discuss your preferences with a member of the team.
All students will need to purchase steel toe-cap boots.
