Course description

For all the whizz kids out there, this Apprenticeship covers a broad range of digital technologies such as mobile phones, computers, broadband provision and satellite communications. It even looks at system security, managing software development and IT applications. Ideal for all the Support Technicians upgrading systems, Helpdesk Professionals troubleshooting IT faults and Web Developers creating websites.

Course content

Apprenticeships have been designed to provide opportunities for people to develop a mix of practical and technical skills that support roles in an area of work. This programme covers a wide variety of roles in the IT sector.

An Apprenticeship is a great way to earn and learn, and for employers to discover skilled and talented employees.

Entry requirements

There are no set entry requirements for the Level 2 programme, but we have to make sure that the Apprentice has the potential to achieve the different elements that make up the Apprenticeship qualification, and that they are working at the right level in their job role. You must have completed and achieved the previous levels to progress to levels 3 and 4


A portfolio of evidence, which will contain detailed assessment reports from the assessor/tutor.

There are external tests for the knowledge based element and skills element
