Construction (Site Carpentry) Level 3 Diploma at Chelmsford College

Course description

This programme provides the specialist knowledge to support employment and an Advanced Apprenticeship in the pathway of site carpentry. This course develops your organisational and people skills and will prepare you for supervisory and managerial positions.
Subjects studied will include roofing, dormer windows and rebated doors. General maintenance and use of a variety of machinery including circular saws and planers.

Entry requirements

Level 2 Construction Diploma in Site Carpentry.

Assessment

Practical assessment and online knowledge tests.

Financial information

Workwear and personal protective equipment approx £65

Future opportunities

You may progress into employment or progress onto a Diploma in Construction and the HNC.

    • Our Princes Road campus houses many of our practical vocational areas. Laid out over a two-floor site with car parking and good links to buses, the campus boasts a new Electrical and Engineering block.

      A new welcome area with internet cafe, refectory and conservatory area for students to relax and socialise are also available.

      In addition to Electrical and Engineering, our Princes Road campus also houses our Construction workshops and Hospitality and Catering kitchens, with our Princes Room restaurant open to the public.

      The campus also houses a Learning Centre, Skills Development Centre, Assessment Centre and Tutorial Centre.
