Further Mathematics A Level at The Boston Grammar School

Course description

For A Level Further Mathematics several combinations of modules are possible, but Further Pur e Mathematics 1 and 2 which consists of Proof, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Further Calculus, Further Vectors, Further algebra and functions, Polar co - ordinates, Hyperbolic functions and Differential equations are compulsory. Two optional modules are chosen from a range of Further Pure Mathematics (2 options), Further Mechanics (2 options), Further Statistics (2 options) and Decision Mathematics (2 options).

Entry requirements

Due to the high algebra content, all students are required to have achiev ed at least a Grade 7 at GCSE Mathematics to embark upon the course. A Level Further Mathematics can only be chosen as an option if A Level Mathematics is also chosen.
