Psychology AS/A Level at Djanogly City Academy

Course description

In the AS course you will be introduced to key areas of psychology, including how memory works, child psychology and their applicability to everyday life. You are given an overview of mental health disorders and strengths and weaknesses of different forms of treatment. There is an emphasis on ‘How Science Works’ which is taught through methods and techniques that psychologists use to conduct research.

In the second year you will learn about mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, as well as learning about the psychology of relationships and addiction, combined with associated disorders in these areas.
