Sociology A2 at Grange Technology College
A2 Sociology follows on from AS. In this phase of the course you will focus on crime and religion to develop your understanding of social processes.

You will study 2 modules
- Module 1 - Crime and sociological Method & Theory
- Module 2 - Beliefs in society
To progress to A2 level, students should have a good pass at AS level Sociology. A grade ‘D’ or above is desirable to rise to the challenges of A2.
Students sit 2 exams in their A2 year; Module 1 is examined in January and Module 2 is examined in June.
Most Sociology students go on to University to study subjects such as Sociology, Politics, Law, Media and Social Policy. Sociology forms a good grounding for almost any subject that requires a detailed knowledge of the real world and sociology students are taught to develop analytical approach which is useful in almost any career that requires the analysis of detailed and complex information.
