Media Studies A Level at Queen Mary's College

Course description

Media Studies allows you to investigate and research in to a wide range of media texts. The first year focuses on the development of analytical skills by deconstructing media artefacts such as adverts, trailers, posters, magazines, computer games, websites, television shows and films.

Additionally, students are able to create their own media product from a range of practical briefs as part of the coursework module (50%). The core principals of Media Studies are developed at AS Level and explored further through theoretical debate, investigation and production in the A2 year.
