Course description

The BTEC Level 2 in Creative Digital Media Production (TV and Film) course offers a starting point for both school leavers and mature students who want to start a career within the Film and TV Industry. The course is based around practical and hands on learning, best suited to learning outside of the classroom. The course is underpinned by the academic skills needed for a career in the Film and TV industry.

Topics and Projects:

Throughout the year you will cover subjects like: Moving Image (Film and TV), Editing, Animation, Writing for film and TV, Researching and Pitching Ideas, Team Building, Project Management and Understanding the TV and Film Industry. These will be covered within projects such as making live news, short films, animation, script writing, music video, advertisement and documentary.

Entry requirements

Entry Requirements: 3 GCSEs at grade C to E or equivalent level 1 qualification. (Must include English or be able to demonstrate written English skills).

Applicants with no qualifications will be asked to attend an interview.

    • The Arts Centre is located in Liverpool's Hope Street Quarter.
