Business Administration Intermediate Apprenticeship at Shipley College

Course description

Administrators handle the day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure organisations run smoothly.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop a range of transferable skills which means you can work in almost any setting from an international retail chain to the local council.

Positions may include executive assistants, secretaries, administration assistants, data entry clerks and office juniors. Administration roles are also an excellent starting point to move in to management, once you have more experience.

Entry requirements

  • First of all you need to find an apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area. 
  • You will have an interview.
  • 2 GCSEs at grades A*-D (9-3), in English & maths.
  • You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT.

Future opportunities

After completing an intermediate apprenticeship, you can progress on to further study at college or use the skills you have developed and the experience you have gained at work to progress further in your job role/career.
