Course description

Course content

As a learner at Career 6 you will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required by the engineering sector, including essential employability skills, and apply them in a real work setting.

Students will look at a number of different topics including health & safety in the engineering workplace, communications for engineering technicians, an engineering project, mathematics for Engineering Technicians, mechanical principles and applications and electrical & electronic principles.

Entry requirements

  • An average point score appropriate for your chosen pathway from all your GCSE subjects

Future opportunities

AŒfter completing your qualification you can progress directly on to a university course and study further or enter directly in to employment and work in a number of different engineering fields.
