Creative Media Production BTEC Advanced Diploma at Fareham College

Course description

Through a combination of practical and theoretical work, you will learn using the latest technology, producing a range of media including film/video, TV, digital print, journalism and special effects.

You will learn how to research, plan and create content, explore different media platforms using the latest digital tools, and learn how to work with a client to produce media products to a specification.

Study visits include annual international visits, and visits to national, local and regional television, film radio and newspaper companies.

Course content

You will have a choice of various projects on the course, which will help you to develop skills in the specific area of the media industry that might interest you.

Within each project you will be able to learn photography techniques, documentary filmmaking motion graphics and studio procedure, while gaining an understanding of media theory and industry practice.

Entry requirements

  • Five GCSE’s at grade C or above including English, Maths and a creative subject.

Future opportunities

Progress to HND Creative Arts Practice at Fareham College or to university to study a degree or HND in a related subject.
