ASDAN Entry Level Certificate in Life Skills at James Rennie School Specialist Communication and Interaction College

Course description

ASDAN is an internationally recognised awarding body whose purpose is to 'promote the personal and social development of learners through the achievement of ASDAN awards, so to enhance their self esteem, aspirations and contributions to the community'. ASDAN is approved by the DfES, QCA, DELLS and CCEA. This Entry Level Qualification embraces the development of Personal, Social, Health, Moral, Citizenship and ICT skills which prepare the candidate for life. Progression is recognise throughout the 3 levels of the qualification, in requiring the candidate to recognising lateral and incremental achievements. The ASDAN Cerificate inLife Skills (Entry Level 1,2 and 3 ) is approved by QCA,DELLS and CCEA. The qualification consists of 6 units: Personal Care, Community, Citizenship, Home Management, Preparing for Working Life and ICT. The qualification will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence. Candidates are also required to do activities/tasks set by ASDAN which provide confirmation that the candidate has met the unit specifications. The portfolio and additional activities will be assessed internally by the centre and externally by ASDAN.
