Accounts Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship at Bradford College

Course description

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training at College.

Money is at the heart of every business and this comprehensive accounts programme will qualify you for a career in the industry. Apprentices are able to work towards AAT Accounting Qualifications, including the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.

Course content

The Level 2 Apprenticeship covers:

  • Principles of Recording and Processing Financial Transactions
  • Banking Procedures
  • Basic Principles of Costing
  • Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance
  • Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance

    The Level 3 Apprenticeship covers:
  • Principles of Accounts Preparation
  • Principles of Cash Management
  • Principles of Costing
  • Principles of VAT
  • Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance

    The Level 4 Apprenticeship covers:
  • Principles of Drafting Financial Statements
  • Principles of Budgeting
  • Principles of Managing Financial Performance
  • Principles of Internal Control

 

 

Entry requirements

Level 2: GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A*-E or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.

Level 3: GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A*-C or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.

Level 4: GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A*-C or Level 2 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
