Exploring Conflict in Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’

Creative writing - Re-casting and commentary based on the novel, ‘The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini

Coursework at A Level gives the opportunity for studying specific aspects of language analysis in texts of your own choice, broadening subject knowledge by pursuing individual interests.

5 GCSE's A*- C Grade

Minimum Grade 5 in Language and Literature at GCSE

Assessment

80% Exam

20% Non-Examination Assessment (NEA –coursework)

English Language and Literature at A Level is a highly desirable qualification for further study and career opportunities as it gives you the opportunity to develop skills of reading for meaning and enables you to communicate your ideas eloquently, shaping arguments and debating different points of view. In-depth Language analysis also gives you valuable insights into how language is constructed and how meanings are made, as well as the opportunity to develop your own creative writing.
