The aims and objectives of Biology A are to enable students to develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other and demonstrate a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods. They will develop competence and confidence in a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills. In addition to an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the subject, including developing an interest in further study and careers associated with the subject and an understanding of how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society. This is a two year A Level Course.

- 5+ GCSEs A*-C (9-5)
- Grade 5+ in Mathematics
- BB in Core and Additional Science
You will be examined by two, one hour forty five minute, and one, two hour, final written examinations although there are practical assessments that must be fulfilled to complete the course and form part of the examinable content.
This course will prepare you for an Undergraduate degree course at University.
