Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Education) - A level at Turton High School & Sixth Form College
A-Level Philosophy and Ethics (Religious Studies) is a subject that really gets you thinking about and considering the big questions of life. You will examine the evidence and arguments for and against the existence of God, as well as delving into the key problem of evil and suffering. You will consider what makes a decision morally right, examining different ethical theories and weighing up their usefulness in the modern world. An in-depth study into medical ethics explores the practical application of key ethical and religious concepts and shows how important this subject is in modern life.
At least a grade 6 in Religious Education (if taken) and a grade 6 in English Language. If not, 6 in a related subject i.e. History/English Literature.
