Level 3 Pearson BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care at Telford College Of Arts And Technology - TCAT

Course description

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma is equivalent
to 3 A levels. 13 units of which 8 are internally assessed and 4
are externally assessed in placement. This qualification has been
designed to be the only qualification in a two-year, full-time study
programme; it is an in-depth study of the health and social care
sector.
 
It supports progression to health and social care related degrees.
 
TCAT can offer students highly qualified and experienced staff with
an excellent track record of student success.
 
Full Time Study Programmes are built around a collection of key
elements which all students benefit from, these include:
 
• Main Qualification in the subject of your choice
• English & mathematics qualifications for all students who have not
yet achieved 4-9 grades in either subject
• Work Experience or External Work Placement which is planned
with you at the start of your course and links to your career goals
and ambitions
• Weekly Tutorial with your personal tutor
• A wide range of Enrichment Activities to support your broader
skills, such as teamwork or communication

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at C or above including English and preferably maths

Assessment

Assignments cover a broad spectrum of activities and will be marked
both externally and internally.

Future opportunities

Nursing/Midwifery, Occupational therapy, Paramedic, Social Work,
and Social Care, or Advanced Apprenticeship.

Further information

You will be required to attend College 3 days per week with
a practical work placement. You will be required to complete a
DBS check.
 
Further Study
Degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Sociology; Foundation Degree in Youth
Work, Operating Department Practitioner, Paramedic, Health Studies.
