Course description

You can choose a number of options to suit your strengths and full support is given to teach skills and develop a range of interests in music. You will study a wide range of music from classical to pop, Bach to Beatles, opera to Oasis, choral, orchestral, film and TV music. You will also have the opportunity to develop your music technology skills to assist in the learning process, especially for composition and score production in the music department’s computer suite.

At A2 you will record a performance and submit a composition/technique portfolio. This tests all the knowledge, understanding and skills you have developed across the course.

You will take a listening test and will also be asked to answer written questions on the music you have studied. You will also be asked to give recital performances to an invited audience.
