GO40: You will use your presentation knowledge and skills to create a portfolio of different communications, including a presentation on different methods of communicating information and the technologies that support them. G041:You will study how organisations collect,
disseminate and use information, how they manage the flow of information between sections or departments and the way they use ICT to access and exchange information.
G042: The World Wide Web allows individuals to access information on almost any topic imaginable. This access to information has had a fundamental effect on society and the way individuals live their lives.
G048: Improve your own performance and working
relationships through the planning, implementation, management and evaluation of an ICT project.
G050: Interactive multimedia products can play an
important role in entertainment, education and in providing information. This unit helps you to evaluate and be critical of multimedia products whilst developing your own product.
G053: Recently, there has been an increase in the need for people with the skills for planning, building and maintaining websites. This unit should help you to develop these valuable skills.

You require a solid grasp of a variety of software applications and an ability to produce high quality coursework.
Minimum of Cambridge Nationals Level 2 Pass or the ECDL Qualification at grade Merit or Distinction.
G041 is assessed through a 1 ½ hour exam in your AS year in June.
All other units are assessed through teacher marked and externally moderated production of electronic coursework portfolios and supporting products.
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is made available from the Government – to provide assistance to students whose access to, or completion of, education is inhibited by financial constraints or barriers. Further information regarding eligibility and application forms are available from the sixth form.
Practically every occupation requires some form of ICT skills. This qualification allows you to identify the possibilities and advantages that ICT can bring to an organisation.
The GCE in Applied ICT provides a broad introduction to the subject and prepares you for study in further or higher education. The qualification attracts UCAS points in the same way as ordinary GCEs
