Bricklaying CSKILLS Diploma Level 3 at Cornwall College

Course description

Ideal if: you want to expand your skills and become a fully qualified bricklayer

You'll need: to have already completed a level 2 qualification, or have relevant experience

You'll learn: about complex building procedures such as curved, decorative and raked work and the relevant building regulations

Expect: to be assessed through practical assignments throughout the course

You'll love: learning the technical skills needed to start your own business

You'll go onto: employment, or higher education such as the Foundaion Degree in Sustainable Construction

Course content

This course covers advanced technical knowledge relating to construction and is ideally suited for someone wishing to start their own business.  The 3 week blocks are practical based and include curved work, raking work and decorative work.  There is a large emphasis on building regulations and complex building procedures.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements however it is highly recommended that a level 2 qualification in masonry has been obtained to avoid knowledge gaps.

Future opportunities

You will be equipped with all of the skills and knowledge needed to start your own business.  Alternatively, you may wish to seek employment or continue your education at university level, such as the Foundation Degree in Sustainable Construction.
