Sociology A level at Ark 6th Form East Sussex

Course description

The study of society and of people and their behaviour. Topics such as domestic violence, racism, ethnicity and social inequality are embraced. Sociologists create theories to explain human behaviour and the workings of society. These theories can lead to generalisations being made. Theories must be backed up by facts and evidence collected methodically by carrying out research.


Examinations at the end of Year 12 and 13. There is NO coursework component.
