Intermediate Apprenticeship in Vehicle Accident Repair - Body at Norfolk Training Services
This qualification covers activities within the motor industry that relate to body repairers working on a wide range of vehicles in garages, dealerships and fast fit businesses. The qualification covers the basic technical needs for today’s motor industry: removing and fitting non-welded non-structural body panels and removing, repairing and replacing non-structural body panels. In addition to enabling learners to understand how vehicle systems work, the qualification covers all aspects of health & safety, maintaining positive relationships and good housekeeping.
This qualification is aimed at anyone employed or intending to become employed in the vehicle body repair sector of the motor industry. It is designed for either young people to integrate them into work with help and support from their assessor or for current employees to build upon their existing skills and knowledge and provide a nationally recognised qualification to support their employment.
Once on programme with NTS, an assessor will be assigned to each learner. The assessor will carry out an induction to the course and pre arrange visits for every 4 to 6 weeks, on these visits the assessor will assess learners carrying out practical tasks that they would complete in their day to day job role, the assessor will also assess knowledge reports that learners have completed and set targets for the next meeting.
