Physical Education AS/A2 at Perryfields High School Specialist Maths and Computing College

Course content

In the first year you will study 2 Units: Unit 1 - An introduction to physical education. Unit 2 - Acquiring, developing and evaluating practical skills in physical education. In the second year you will study a further two units: Unit 3 - principles and concepts across different areas of Physical Education. Unit 4 - The improvement of effective performance and the critical evaluation of practical activities in Physical Education.

Financial information

In most cases the course is free of charge. A fee may charged for re-sits or the general public. Students may be eligible for a weekly Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA), paid during term time, depending onyour household income. For further information please visit www.direct.gov.uk/ema.

Future opportunities

Pupils that study A-Level PE can go on to succeed in a wide range of careers/options. For example; Study Sports Studies / Sports Science at University. Work within the Leisure Industry, Physiotherapist, Sports Psychologist, Teacher.
