Level 2 Diploma in Uniformed Public Services at Sheppey College
This is a practical course offering a broad base of skills to support employment in uniformed public service such as the armed forces, fire service, police, paramedic, prison service or coastguard, an apprenticeship or progression to level 3. This course will give you an insight into all the uniformed public service and the diverse roles and tasks that they may undertake.
Effective communication skills, qualities of an instructor and interpersonal communication skills, the importance of health and fitness, sports and recreation activities and team work.
At least 4 GCSEs at grade D, (preferably including) or equivalent or progression from a level 1 Public Service or Business related qualification. Subject to interview.
A portfolio of written assignments practical role plays/observations and internal/external assessments.
Enrichment opportunities will include visits, activities and speakers such as:Participation in a reality event, Visit to the Houses of Parliament, Overnight camping trips, Visit to the Fire Station, Visit to the Ambulance Station, Visit to the Police Station, Support with a local charity project, Campus Open Day event and Guest speakers from uniformed services.
BTEC Subsidiary Diploma or the Extended Diploma in Public Service Level 3.
