AS/A2 Information and Communication Technology at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle

Course description

This course will provide students with the opportunity to develop their ICT skills and to apply them to solving problems.

Entry requirements

To study AS level ICT students should have passed the ECDL Extra or gained a grade B at GCSE or equivalent course in Information Technology.

PROGRESSION

This A level provides an excellent foundation for anyone wishing to pursue further studies or a career involving the use of ICT. Universities are increasing recognising ICT as a degree subject in its own right alongside the more traditional computer science degrees. Degrees are also available in web design and game design. Nationally there is a serious shortage of IT professionals.
