Course description

Candidates must study 3 mandatory units:* Working safely in an engineering department;* Developing yourself and working with others;* Using and communicating technical information.Plus 1 General Support unit from a list of 5; and2 Optional Evidence units from a list of 9.These General Support and Optional Evidence units are generically designed to cover all engineering competences.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade D including maths and English (or equivalent BTEC/Key Skills).

Assessment

Your progression over the course is based on a continual practical assessments and completion of a portfolio of evidence.

Future opportunities

Provides the foundation requirement for Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering/Manufacture.
