Course description

BTEC Level 3 Applied Science enableslearnersto develop practicalscientific skills and covers areas of laboratory science, forensic science, medicalscience, environmentalscience and biological, chemical and physicalscience. It also supportslearners wanting to pursue a career within the science industry or within organisationsthat use science.

This qualification will appeal to learners who prefer portfolio-based assessment covering a variety ofscientific investigationsrather than exams.

Entry requirements

100% coursework (at the moment all internally assessed).
