Health & Social Care CTEC Level 3 Diploma at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College
This vocational course covers a wide range of units to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to enter employment in the Health, Social Care or Education sectors. You will study topics including: Safeguarding; Equality Diversity and Rights in Health and Social Care; Building Positive Relationships in Health and Social Care; Anatomy and Physiology; Supporting People with Dementia; and Sexual Health, Reproduction and Early Development Stages.
Topics you will study:

- Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
- Health, safety and security in health and social care
- Anatomy and physiology
- Infection control
Four GCSEs grade A-C, preferably including Maths and English. This is a guideline rather than a requirement and the college will create a programme most suitable for you as an individual.

This course is free to students aged 16-19 years old
You will develop skills, knowledge and behaviours required to enter employment in the health and social care sector, or to progress in to health or social care related apprenticeships or degree courses, such as Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Early Childhood Studies, or a range of other health or social care related degree courses. This course is likely to make up your full Level 3 programme, so you would not normally combine this course with any other Level 3 subjects. However you could study one GCSE subject as well.
