Hospitality at Calder High School
This course is designed for students who enjoy the cooking side of the hospitality industry, but also focuses on hospitality management. This course can extend the learners knowledge of what they have learned at GCSE level. Each unit is entirely made up of coursework.
Unit 1 The Hospitality Industry
Unit 22 Planning and managing a hospitality event
Unit 12 Contemporary world food
Unit 2 Supervising Customer Service
Unit 3 Providing Customer Service
Unit 10 European food
Unit 13 Advanced skills in producing desserts and petit fours
Catering or Food Technology at GCSE, C grade or above
Students should preferably have a keen interest in food and the Hospitality Industry
