Sport Level 3 BTEC at The Buckingham School - A Sports College

Course description

The BTEC course concentrates on Health, Fitness and good training. Students learn how to manage risks in sports environments and study anatomy and physiology. They also lead coaching sessions for younger students as part of their Sports Leader Award.

Entry requirements

Ideally, students need to be passionate about health, fitness and sport activities. They need to be self motivated and good at meeting deadlines. The course requires a substantial amount of independent study.

BTEC Level 3 Sport requires an A*- C in GCSE Physical Education or Distinction*- Merit in BTEC Sport.

Future opportunities

The BTEC Level 3 Sport is ideal for anyone who is interested in working in the Health and Fitness industry or in sport.

Careers include personal training, health and safety and leisure centre management.

Subjects which BTEC Sport works well in combination with include Biology, Psychology and Sports Leadership.
