IT Users - Level 2 Diploma at London South East Colleges - Bexley (formerly Bexley College)

Course description

This level 2 course is suitable for students who have already completed a Level 1 course in ICT such as the BTEC Level 1 Diploma for IT Users or if they have equivalent ICT skills and knowledge.

The course covers a wide range of IT skills using industry-standard software, prepares students for employment and is excellent preparation for the Level 3 Diploma in IT.

Course content

This level 2 course is suitable for students who have already completed a Level 1 course in ICT such as the BTEC Level 1 Diploma for IT Users or if they have equivalent ICT skills and knowledge.

The course covers a wide range of IT skills using industry-standard software, prepares students for employment and is excellent preparation for the Level 3 Diploma in I.T.

Entry requirements

  • 4 GCSEs Grade D or above, including English
  • BTEC Level 1 Certificate/Diploma in IT at Work (or equivalent)
  • Level 1 English and/or Maths
  • Successful interview with College staff

Assessment

All units are graded as a Pass, Merit or Distinction. Students must pass each unit to get the Diploma qualification at the end of the course. Students are also required to undertake an examination in Essential English and Maths.
