Psychology A Level at The Highfield School
This course is designed to enable you to think criticallyabout some classic and groundbreaking research inPsychology. Each one seeking the answer to a specificproblem, such as "What makes prisons brutal places?""Is it possible to tell who is abnormal and who is not?" "Canwe teach an ape language?" "How can we tell if someone isdreaming or not?" "What factors affect the development ofchildren?" "Do regular gamblers think differently while theyare gambling than non-regular gamblers do?" You will alsohave the chance to learn about the methods thatPsychologists use when they investigate behaviour and youwill have the chance to plan and carry out someinvestigations yourself.
