Media Production (Film and Television) BTEC Certificate Subsidiary Diploma Level 3 at Saint Mary's College, Blackburn
This course is the equivalent to one full A Level. This is a practical and industry related course which focuses on issues, technology and skills within the Film and Television industries. The course consists of specialist modules, each designed to develop a wide range of knowledge and skills. You will study a range of different topics which cover a variety of Film and Television areas: - Animation - Single Camera Drama - Documentary - Scriptwriting - Editing - Music Videos - News Production - Research Techniques Students will have opportunities to experience learning outside the classroom with visits to the Bradford Media Museum and Manchester’s Cornerhouse Cinema for lectures, screenings and workshops. The strongest pieces of work will be entered into local and national film festivals such as Exposures Film Festival and the Cooperative Film Festival.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C including English Language grade C.
