Course description

Would you like a challenging career in IT? Do you particularly want to learn about programming and software development?

This course covers a range of core IT areas, with an emphasis on programming languages and application development. It allows you gain a range of IT skills, whilst also developing a specialism that helps you prepare for higher education and your career.

Throughout the course you will benefit from excellent facilities, including well equipped multimedia, networking and hardware rooms, as well as a dedicated IT workshop to facilitate your private study time. There will also be opportunities to enhance your learning with guest speakers, group activities and trips.

Entry requirements

  • A Level 2 qualification in an appropriate subject, at a Distinction Grade; or,
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English or Welsh. 

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.
