English Language and Literature at Thomas Adams School
English Language and Literature develops your skills as both independent readers, being able to analyse and critique contemporary texts, alongside developing your own creative writing skills. Set texts are modern, relevant and enjoyable. You must be prepared to read and research independently, give your opinion on a text, write formal and creative essays and analyse conversation and its theories.
5 GCSEs at C grade or above including English Language and Literature.
A keen interest in creative English and analysis of contemporary texts is necessary.
