At AS Level:

 Core 1: Algebra and Functions; Coordinate Geometry in the (x, y) plane; Sequences and Series; Differentiation and Integration

Core 2: Algebra and Functions; Exponentials and Logarithms; Coordinate Geometry in the (x, y) plane; Binomial expansion; Radians; Geometric Sequences and Series; Trigonometric Identities and Equations; Differentiation and Integration

 Statistics 1: Mathematical Models; Representation & summary of data (location and dispersion);Representation of data; Probability; Correlation; Regression; Discrete random variables; The Normal Distribution

 At A2 Level:

Core 3: Algebraic fractions; Functions; Exponential and Logarithmic functions; Numerical methods; Transforming graphs of functions; Further Trigonometry and Differentiation

 Core 4: Partial fractions; Parametric equations; Binomial expansion; Differentiation; Vectors; Integration

 Decision 1: Algorithms; Route inspection problems; Critical Path Analysis; Linear Programming; Matchings

and or

Mechanics 1: Mathematical Models in Mechanics; Kinematics of a particle; Dynamics of a particle; Statics of a particle; Vectors in Mechanics, Moments

Entry requirements

GCSE Mathematics – Grade A (or Very High B)

To continue to A2 Level – Grade D at AS Mathematics 

Assessment

Core 1: Exam Non calculator (1hour 30 mins)

 Core 2: Exam (1 hour 30 mins) Statistics 1: Exam (1 hour 30 mins)

 Core 3: Exam (1 hour 30 mins)

Core 4: Exam (1 hour 30 mins) Decision 1: Exam (1 hour 30 mins)/Mechanics 1: Exam (1 hour 30 mins)

All exams are equally weighted
