BTEC Nationals Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care at Sawtry Village Academy
This is a qualification that offers opportunities for both professional and academic development. The course will develop skills for working with people of all ages, the course consists of four units of study where you will explore human development from birth to old age, working in a health and social care environment, learning how to support and care for people and supporting people with additional needs. The course will develop your independent research skills using our extensive research library and your ability to communicate, both orally and written, to an audience of all ages.
Average points score of 38+ and at least grade C in GCSE English and/ or maths.
The Extended certificate carries UCAS points the equivalent to 1 A level. It is relevant for university study in the fields of Primary School Teaching; Social Work; Nursing, paramedics and many other degree level courses.
