Mathematics A Level at Anthony Gell School

Course description

The AS and A2 courses both cover Pure, Statistical and Mechanical Mathematics. Three modules are studied each year, with a written exam taken at the end of each course. There is no coursework assessment; mock exams throughout both years ensure that students are fully prepared for their final assessment. Mathematics is also useful support to Geography and to other Science subjects. Mathematics is essential if students are choosing to study Physics or Further Mathematics.

Entry requirements

Standard, including A or A* at GCSE Mathematics.

Standard = This is the standard requirement for studying a subject. This means that you must have at least five GCSE grades at C or above, including English Language and/or Mathematics.
