Performing Arts Cambridge TEC Level 3 Diploma at Barrow-in-Furness Sixth Form College

Course description

You have a desire to be creative either as a performer or a designer within a practical theatrical context. You enjoy working with others in developing projects that will impact on members of your community.

Students often go on to build a career within the performing arts. For others the course serves as an exciting way to build confidence and develop their ability to work with other people in a creative context.

You will focus on developing your skills throughout the course, whilst showing how your knowledge of the performing arts industry works. You will be provided with the opportunity to see a range of live performances, and engage in workshops led by theatre professionals.

You will learn in our fully equipped theatrical workspace, complete with computerised lighting and powerful sound system. You will mostly learn through practical experiences, with some formal teaching of some concepts. Trinity graded examinations in speech and drama are also available.
