BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Public Services at Bournville College
A BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma is a vocational, work-related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. This particular course is designed for students who need to re-sit a GCSE in English and/or Maths alongside their Diploma.

4 GCSEs at Grade C or abov. BTEC First Diploma (Merit or Distinction). All applicants must have a good reference. Students also need to be self-motivated and have a keen interest in a career in the field of public service work.
This course is assessed through a range of activities such as projects, presentations, teamwork and practical activities. Assessment is continuous and suited to students who prefer this method of assessment to final exams.
Students who successfully complete this programme will be able to apply for our HND in Public Services. Opportunities are available to gain entry into a wide range of public sector occupations in both the uniformed and non-uniform sectors such as Local Government Administration, Customs and Excise, The Ambulance Service, The Police Service, The Fire Service, Care Work, The Armed Forces, The Military Police, Security or The Prison Service.
