Fashion Retail ABC Level 3 Diploma at Luton Sixth Form College

Course description

Fact: Retail is the largest sector of the UK economy and accounts for over 70% of all Businesses. Choosing to study on the Fashion Retail course at LSFC will allow you to gain valuable insight into the ever changing world of fashion.

The course has been designed to be extremely practical and we do encourage you to take part in all the planned activities (wherever possible). This course will aim to:

  • Enable you to develop knowledge, understanding and applied skills of specialist fashion management.
  • Encourage progression to university and employment.
  • Encourage an evaluative approach to personal and professional development

Entry requirements

To start any BTEC Level 3 course you need to meet the general college entry requirements. In addition you would need at least a grade D GCSE in English and Mathematics.

We would highly recommend studying the following programmes alongside this course. The BTEC Business (Retail/Management) Level 3 Diploma or 2 AS Levels (suggestions include Textiles, Photography, English Language, Media Studies or the BTEC Sub Diploma in Production Arts (Operations Management).

Assessment

All 9 units are assessed through a portfolio of work, there are no external exams.

Future opportunities

This course will allow you to gain the following UCAS points for University. Distinction 160, Merit 120 and Pass 80. Combined with your other subjects it will enable you to either progress to a suitable university course, the Fashion Retail Academy, The London College of Fashion or onto employment within the fashion industry.
