Construction (BTEC) Level 2 First Diploma in Construction at The Ridings Federation Winterbourne International Academy

Course description

The construction course is designed to be a general introduction to the construction industry, providing a range of opportunities. Compulsory modules include health and safety and the structure of the construction industry. There is a wide range of optional units available; the ones delivered each year depend on the interest of the students and the availability of resources. Optional units delivered at the Academy will be likely to include brick and block work, basic plumbing, basic electrical work and basic carpentry. Students will also learn about health and safety, sub-structures and superstructures.

It is very important to note that this is not a wholly practical course and students should ensure they fully understand the nature and content of the course before applying.
