English Literature A-Level at Campion School
Students studying English Literature will study a wide range of texts including drama, poetry, prose and Shakespeare. In addition to analysis and critical responses to texts and drama productions, students will also develop the skills of practical criticism and comparison between texts.
At least a grade B in both GCSE English Language and English Literature.
English Literature has been traditionally seen as one of the academic A Levels. Universities and employers alike recognise it as an indication of your overall ability and potential. In further education, the combinations offered of English and another subject such as History or Philosophy are almost never-ending. It is one of the most adaptable of A Levels, complementing your other choices whether they are Sciences, Arts or Social Sciences.
