Human Biology at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form Free School
Your body really is amazing. Studying A Level Human Biology allows you to explore deep questions such as “How does your body work?”, “What causes aging and death?” or “How can we irradiate disease?”. You will consider where humans came from as well as how the human organism can be supported to function effectively through considerations about diet and living environments. At AS, students explore two main areas:
• The body and its diseases
• Humans – their origins and adaptations Deeper understanding of the functioning of the human body is gained through the study of two further areas during A2:
• Bodies and cells in and out of control
• The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat
Our entry requirements are in-line with other local providers.
