Art & Design BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Harlow College

Course description

The course provides a broad range of art, craft and design disciplines such as; drawing, painting, printmaking, graphics photography, fashion, textiles, ceramics and 3D design.

  • Communication Through Art and Design
  • Contextual Influences in Art and Design

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs A*-C.Must include minimum grade C English Language and grade C Art or design technology equivalent. Portfolio of art and design work.

Assessment

Assessment is through lectures, practical assignments, group discussions, essays and regular educational visits to galleries and museums. In addition there will be a final major project in year 2. You will take part in regular discussions about progress with your learner mentor.

Financial information

A materials fee of approx £50. Costs of visits approx £50.
